...WE BEAT THE MANCS 2-0
Cardiff 2003, Liverpool Football Club won yet another League Cup and the victory was made even sweeter because we beat the Mancs!
A superb atmosphere under the closed roof, we had colour, flags, banners and scarfs, they had an English flag with MUFC on it!
All as they could sing was UNITED! UNITED! But that would not last, the Cockney Mancs where soon shut up when Stevie G and Saint Michael put the ball in the Mancs net and Jerzy kept it out of our net.
The travelling Kopites faught back with the chant's of Fields of Anfield Road, Poor Scouser Tommy and When the Reds Go Marchin' In, we sing about our club, our players and dont sing abuse at the teams we dislike!
Revenge for the 1996 FA Cup Final was very very sweet, at least then we could stay behind and watch our team get their losers medals.
If this cup was so "Worthless" then why where the travelling United fans (wherever in the UK they are from) crying in their seats when Saint Michael struck the winner home past a helpless Bald Frenchmen!
When they got their's this time around, half of them had fucked off back to London, Cheltenham and Hemel Hemsted!
