LIVERPOOL 1 (5) Vs 1 (4) Birmingham City A simple victory for Liverpool? No way, even though Liverpool should have wrapped the match up early on.
But brave Birmingham won the hearts of the neutrals by forcing extra time. But the class come out on top as Liverpool won the Worthington League Cup on a penalty shoot out, Sander Westerveld being the hero.
